Geostock have been awarded a contract with Italgas Storage

Geostock finalized on 17 October 2011 a major contract (about 20 000 hours) with the Italian company Italgas Storage concerning the convertion of the depleted Cornegliano field located 30 km South-West Milan to a natural gas storage.
According to this contract, Geostock will be in charge of engineering assistance to the owner for the subsurface, call for tenders, tenders evaluation and drilling contratation. Geostock will then supervise the drilling operations.
The Cornegliano storage facility will have a working gas capacity of 1.3 bcm, with maximum injection and production flowrate of 28 Mm3/day and it will be operated by 14 wells from two clusters.
The drilling will begin mid-2012 and first gas injection is planned for the second half of the year 2014.
