Geostock has been awarded a new contract in Morocco

GEOSTOCK signed on April 21st an important contract with “Société Marocaine de Stockage”- SOMAS, within the framework of its project of a third Butane storage cavern at its site of underground storage in leached-salt caverns of Sidi Larbi, close to the town of Mohammedia (north of Casablanca).
The target volume of this third cavern is 140,000 m3.
As a reminder, the SOMAS’ site currently comprises two caverns:
- The first was developed with the assistance of KBB company; it has a volume of 110,000 m3 and was commissioned in 1978.
- The second, with a volume of 120,000 m3, was constructed with the assistance of GEOSTOCK and was put in service in 1988.
