Géométhane GIE
Géométhane is specialised in the underground storage of natural gas. It is equally owned by Geosud and Storengy.
Géométhane owns a natural gas storage facility in Manosque (South of France) with a capacity of 300 million m3, which comprises:
- 7 leached-salt caverns
- surface facilities on two sites, which are about 2.5km apart:
- the collection site at Le Gontard,
- the compression, treatment and metering facilities at Gaude.
Located in the protected Lubéron Regional Park, the facilities received special attention regarding environmental protection, in close cooperation with the Park authorities and the local authorities.
Storengy sells storage services to third parties and operates the site.
Geosel-Manosque makes its facilities available to customers.
Geostock delivers the technical and administrative support services.
The site continues to grow, with the planned creation of new storage caverns, which will be engineered and developed by Geostock, and the extension of the existing surface facilities.
